What are the main benefits of lining boards?
Timber lining boards are a versatile and cost-effective way to breathe new life into your home or office. Some of the most important benefits of installing lining boards include:
Non-permanent solution – we know that styles change, which is why timber lining boards are a great way to reinvent the look of a room every 5-10 years. If you choose to change the colour or look of a room, it’s as simple as re-painting or staining to change it up.
Durable – because lining boards act as a ‘cover’ to your walls, you’re effectively increasing the life of your walls and preserving them for future use.
Eco friendly solution – timber is an eco-friendly construction material that is 100% biodegradable. Unlike plastics or other building materials, lining boards are made from sustainable and renewable sources which means that they won’t hurt the environment.
Versatile – let your creativity shine through with lining boards. Who wants another white wall or ceiling when you can create a space that is truly special with the best lining boards Melbourne has to offer.
Increase property value – timber lining boards can increase the value of your property and ‘wow’ prospective buyers for a fraction of the cost of a full room renovation.
Insulation – another layer on your wall or ceiling means more protection from the hot and cold extremes of summer and winter. Timber lining boards have been proven to reduce heating costs in winter and AC costs in summer.
Where can you use lining boards?
While most of our customers use timber lining boards in their home or office interior, timber lining boards can actually be used both indoors and outdoors. Lining boards are commonly used to line walls, and ceilings as well as as an eave lining.
When choosing timber lining boards, it’s important to consider the thickness, length, and width of the boards for your unique space – material will have a bearing on the end cost. Some of the most popular types of wood used for timber lining boards include pine, and cedar. Timber lining boards can be painted or stained to match the décor of your home.
