It does not come as a surprise that Merbau is a popular choice for laminated benchtops in Melbourne. This hardwood is more fire-resistant than other types of wood. It does not catch fire easily, making it a preferred material in the kitchen. It also has a lower expansion rate than other species, making it suitable for high-moisture areas in the home.
Merbau, although durable, is workable and easily cut to fit your kitchen layout. Whatever look you want for your kitchen space, Merbau can deliver, as it ranges from reddish-brown to brown. It retains its colour for a long time.
The luxurious shade of red is what makes Red Gum a prized kitchen benchtop in Melbourne. The colour ranges from light to dark red — an elegant and unique design element in any living space.
